In 1977 Oliver and I met within the walls of Attica Prison. We locked next to one another. Oliver was our inmate art instructor. We, his peers, were eager to learn all we could from him. And even while watching him work on his own paintings and drawings, they became an extension of his teachings to us. For surely, his paintings possesses a multitude of wisdom to the study eyes. And yes, you can always find something within his paintings that will enhance some aspect of our awareness about art. Upon Oliver's release from prison, his Magnificent Masterpieces found their way into galleries throughout America and Europe. And naturally, into the hands of Prominent Art Collectors.
         I had the honor to share some time with him at an exhibit held at Peg Alston Gallery. His Masterpieces was captivated to the looking eyes. My eyes were among them. 
       Just before Oliver made his spiritual transition, he was also awarded to place a Portrait he did of Vernon Jordan in the National Portrait Gallery Museum in Washington, D.C.
